Mater Nation Debates is a platform built for serious confrontation of ideas. We bring together voices from across the spectrum — religious and secular, left and right, traditional and radical — and require every position to defend itself under real pressure. No ideology is granted immunity. No voice is denied the floor.


What began in the summer of 2024 as an accidental first debate has grown into a consistent arena where convictions are tested, not merely discussed. The goal is simple: if an idea is true, it should be able to withstand scrutiny. If it cannot, it should fall.



We do not manufacture consensus. We do not protect sacred cows. We create the conditions for clear, forceful, and honest debate.

Amateur?

New to debate but want to work your way up to an exclusive debate panel? No worries! We love new comers and helping amateurs build their way up! After each debate we open the panels up to anyone who wants their chance to argue the topic of the evening. Come audition and show off your skills!

WHAT WE DO

  • MODERATOR MONDAY

    Once a week, a single topic is selected and examined. The host reviews the claim, then opens the panel to anyone prepared to debate it.


    Held every Monday at 9:15 PM EST.

  • THROW DOWN THURSDAY

    A featured 1v8 open panel format. The first hour is dedicated to building the foundation of the argument with the host and featured guest, followed by an open panel where the position is tested under pressure.


    To be considered for a feature, participants must have a following, proven debate history, or already be part of #maternation. Come prepared with a clear prompt.


    Held every Thursday evening at 9:15 PM EST.

  • 1v1 DEBATE

    One-on-one debates can be requested or challenged by participants with a following, proven debate history, or those already part of #maternation.

  • THE GAUNTLET

    The after-hours extension of Mater Nation Debates.


    Once the main debate ends, the structure loosens. The Gauntlet is where the panel is allowed to run hotter, the gloves come off, and the conversation becomes less restrained. 


    It is the speakeasy of the platform — less formal, more volatile, and only for those who already know the room.


    If you want the controlled testing of ideas, stay for the main debate.

    If you want the unfiltered version, the Gauntlet is where it happens.

  • THE SLEEPY TOMATO

    A sister channel to Mater Nation Debates, featuring only Sara.


    Here there is no panel and no opposing voices to manage. This is the place where Sara speaks directly — offering clear takes, sharp commentary, and unapologetic opinions on current news and cultural events.


    As a conservative Christian, she does not soften her positions for the sake of comfort. The tone is direct, often cutting, and focused on calling things as she sees them.

    No debates. No moderation. 


    Just Sara, standing on her own convictions.
